New original painting series Stone & Bloom is live!

I have an update for you, and it is a doozy!

The weather has been a mess here in Vermont, with flooding and torrential rain nearly every day. Yet somehow, between the madness of the seemingly unending rain and the inevitable summer travel, I have managed to release my new series "Stone & Bloom." Now, I am admittedly a bit late to this announcement, as I scrambled to jump at an unexpected opportunity for an in-person showing at Next Chapter Farm here in Middlebury, VT. Here's the story of how it all happened:

My friend Sara and I had dinner one evening, and hatched a plan to show paintings in an unconventional location: her family's farm stand. Since the weather has been so strange this year and their vegetable crops non-existent, the farm stand would not be opening--but why not use such a beautiful space?? We came up with the idea to have a pop-up gallery featuring my artwork and her vintage refinished furniture in an unconventional boutique experience. We got right to work making the dream a reality. Just a few weeks from initial brainstorm to opening weekend, we created a unique viewing experience for visitors, who enter the space to find expansive views of the Green Mountains in the background of antiques, vintage furniture, fresh cut flowers, and original artworks. The response has been incredible!

I started selling paintings...and the momentum hasn't stopped! As I write this, I have only a few more pieces available from the "Stone & Bloom" collection. This experience has helped to affirm what I have felt in my heart all along: I am on the path that I am meant to be on.

The "Stone & Bloom" series is an exploration of the interplay between ancient and ephemeral wisdom. The collection builds upon ancient pigments with hues reminiscent of fleeting blooms, clouds, and fields in an attempt to capture the essence of these familiar yet transient moments in a contemporary abstract form. Often while in the presence of nature I feel a connection to wisdom that is greater than myself. The experience of releasing this collection has taught me that listening to my heart is one way I can honor that greater wisdom.

I'll be at Next Chapter Farm this coming weekend, painting the beautiful views and meeting the beautiful souls who stop by. Some of them will wonder in looking for vegetables because they saw the "Farm Stand Open" sign. But they will leave with artwork in hand, having made a connection with place and process. I can't imagine anything more wonderful.

"Not all who wonder are lost."

Thank you for being here, truly.
