This painting was created as part of the "Mud Season" Collection. Inspired by walks in the woods and the hardest parts of the journey, this collection helps me to remember that difficult roads lead to beautiful views.
 
This painting was the first of the series to be painted and is one of my personal favorites. Based on the impression of the Green Mountains in winter, it combines subtle color transitions with bold brush strokes. Earth pigment was added as a finishing touch and adds warmth and depth to the composition.
