This painting was created as part of the "Mud Season" Collection. Inspired by walks in the woods and the hardest parts of the journey, this collection helps me to remember that difficult roads lead to beautiful views.
 
This painting is one of my personal favorites, and recalls a sight often experienced in the months before spring--snow covering and uncovering what is buried beneath. Earth pigment was added as a finishing touch and adds warmth and depth to the composition.
