This painting was created as part of the "Mud Season" Collection. Inspired by walks in the woods and the hardest parts of the journey, this collection helps me to remember that difficult roads lead to beautiful views. 
 
This piece is one of the boldest in the series, combining bright blues and greens with subtle earth tones. It was conceived on a clear crisp day in which the colors of the sky and green of the pines dominated the winter landscape. Earth pigment was added as a finishing touch and adds warmth and depth to the composition.
